Kaleidoscopic, vivid, rhythmic… Daniel Savage invites us into a world where geometric abstraction meets machine-assisted animation. Blurring the boundaries between analogue and digital, the Los Angeles-based artist uses a pen plotter to bring his layered, colour-rich frames to life.
Inspired by nature, shapes, and the grain of handmade textures, Savage’s latest body of work captures the tension between control and chaos – where bleeding marker lines and sunset hues create a hypnotic visual rhythm. Something Savage is a meditation on process, restraint, and play: a bold exploration of how machines can extend – rather than erase – the human hand in art.
The book comes with a little extra: each page is paired with augmented reality content, allowing readers to experience Savage’s work in all its technicolour splendour.
